Who we are
FlyerScene is operated by StanHattie LLC, an Iowa limited liability company. Our mailing address is 731 SE Alices Rd PMB 1035, Waukee, IA 50263. You can reach us at support@flyerscene.com.
What we collect
When you upload flyers, submit stories, or use the contact form, we collect the content and any name or email you choose to provide. Standard web server logs record IP addresses, browser identifiers, and requested URLs for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention. We do not require an account to browse the archive.
How we use it
Uploaded flyers are processed by an AI model to extract band names, venue names, dates, and other event details. Extracted data and images are displayed publicly on the archive. Stories submitted to venue pages are displayed publicly. Moderation decisions (approve, flag, reject) are logged with a hash of the content, the moderation reason, and your IP address so we can review appeals and defend against abuse.
Cookies, analytics, and ads
By default, we set no analytics or advertising cookies. If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and (where enabled) Google AdSense to measure aggregate usage, measure page-level behavior, and show relevant ads that keep the archive free. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data and reloading the page. Declining analytics does not affect your ability to browse, search, upload, or contact us.
Google AdSense may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
Subprocessors
We rely on the following third parties to operate FlyerScene. Each receives only the minimum data necessary for its function:
- Railway - backend hosting and PostgreSQL database
- Cloudflare - CDN, DNS, and static site hosting
- Backblaze B2 - flyer image storage
- Anthropic - AI vision model used for flyer text extraction and content moderation
- Microsoft PhotoDNA Cloud Service - automated CSAM (child sexual abuse material) detection on every uploaded image. StanHattie LLC was approved as a registered PhotoDNA Cloud Service participant on 2026-04-27. We use Microsoft's PhotoDNA Edge Hash Generation SDK to compute a one-way perceptual hash of each image locally on FlyerScene's infrastructure. Only the hash (never the raw image) is sent to Microsoft for matching against industry-shared CSAM hash databases. The same one-time scan was applied retroactively to the historical FlyerScene catalog in May 2026.
- National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) - operator of the CyberTipline. StanHattie LLC is a registered Electronic Service Provider (ESP) as of 2026-04-28. On any PhotoDNA positive match we are legally required to file a CyberTipline report; that report includes the offending image, its hashes, and any uploader metadata we have at the time of the report.

Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing support@flyerscene.com. EU and UK residents have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object. California residents have rights under CCPA/CPRA. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge a fee for reasonable requests.
Data retention
Flyers and extracted metadata are kept as part of the permanent archive unless you request removal or we remove them through moderation. Moderation audit logs are retained for two years. Server logs are retained for 90 days.
Children & child-safety reporting
FlyerScene is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Every uploaded image is automatically scanned with Microsoft PhotoDNA before it reaches public storage, and the entire historical catalog was retroactively scanned in May 2026. The hash for each image is computed locally on FlyerScene's infrastructure using Microsoft's PhotoDNA Edge Hash Generation SDK; only the hash is shared with Microsoft for matching, never the raw image bytes. A positive match results in immediate hard deletion of the image from our infrastructure and an automated report to the NCMEC CyberTipline, which is a legal obligation we comply with as a registered Electronic Service Provider. If you encounter content on FlyerScene that you believe constitutes child sexual abuse material, please email abuse@stanhattie.com immediately; that mailbox is monitored and we will take action and file the corresponding NCMEC report.
